๐ก About Kuwait City
Kuwait City, the capital of Kuwait, is a modern, prosperous metropolis rising above the shimmering waters of the Persian Gulf. Built on the immense wealth of one of the world's largest oil reserves, it has transformed from a small pearl-diving and trading port into a gleaming and cosmopolitan Gulf capital.
The city's most beloved landmark is the Kuwait Towers, a trio of soaring, blue-green sphere-topped towers on the seafront that have become the national symbol, housing water reservoirs, a restaurant and an observation deck with panoramic views over the Gulf. They embody the city's blend of function and futuristic style.
Kuwait has a proud and distinctive heritage as a seafaring and merchant society, and this history is preserved in its excellent museums and in the traditional dhow boats that recall its pearl-diving past. The nation is also famous for its resilience, having rebuilt itself with remarkable speed after the Gulf War of 1990โ91.
With its lavish shopping malls, waterfront promenades, bustling traditional souks and celebrated dining scene, Kuwait City offers a comfortable and welcoming Gulf experience. Modern, wealthy and warmly hospitable, it is a fascinating small Arabian capital.
